New drama Nautilus from writer Narcos In the Works at ViX+ – The Hollywood Reporter

TelevisaUnivision’s new ViX+ streaming platform is already starting to store content ahead of its launch later this year.

The service has commissioned a Colombian-Spanish drama series, titled Nautiluswritten by Narcos and Narcos: Mexico veteran Clayton Trussell, and directed by Ariel Vroman (The ice cream man, Criminal). On Wednesday, TelevisaUnivision also unveiled a first deal with Hollywood actress Salma Hayek and her Ventanarosa banner to produce a slate of films for VIX+, with the first project being a romantic comedy set in the world of football.

The new lineup announcements came as Televisa Univision unveiled VIX as a free, ad-supported video-on-demand service on March 31, while VIX+, the subscription VOD service, will follow with its own launch in the second half of the year. 2022.

TelevisaUnivision has officially unveiled ViX+ as a global Spanish-language service based on the company’s massive Univision and Televisa libraries. The company also has a true crime documentary series in the works of Selena Gomez and has signed a first-look deal with multi-hyphenate Eugenio Derbez.
