Beau DeMayo commented on whether Moon Knight had any connection to the new Thor movie.
Marvel fans are always on the lookout for the next connection in MCU movies and TV series, and while Moon Knight appears to be the franchise’s most standalone Phase 4 entry, there has been one aspect of… broadcast that might well connect to Thor: Love and Thunder through a shared connection around the gods. moon knight Writer Beau DeMayo has now asked if he knows if any of the show’s gods will also make appearances in this summer’s Marvel blockbuster. He said The Direct:
“You know, I don’t know what they do in [Thor: Love and Thunder]. My honest answer is ‘I don’t know’… You have to ask yourself the question. I’m really excited to see it. You know, that’s a question that comes to mind. I’m like curious when I see Thor, like, ‘Is there going to be something? is not it ? It’s kind of like – well, that’s the thing about Marvel when you write for them is that they’re very, very creative, but you’re kind of in your silo, your show. What I kinda like about it is that the moment I get to know how the sausage is made on Thor, or something like that, I can’t appreciate that movie as a fan, you know? And I came here to write Marvel stuff, honestly. So I like that I don’t know. I try to avoid spoilers myself [laughs]…It’s like the moment you learn how Starbucks coffee is made because you work there, suddenly Starbucks coffee is a lot less fancy for you.
Thor: Love And Thunder Brings A Pantheon Of Gods To The MCU
While there’s currently no word on where Marc Spector and Moon Knight will fit in the MCU’s future, the series won’t be alone in featuring plenty of gods. Thor: Love and Thunder obviously already has a god in its main character, but there are plenty more that are expected to feature in the July release. The trailer has already revealed a first look at Russell Crowe as Zeus, and of course we already know that the film’s plot revolves around Gorr the Butcher God and his quest to rid the world of gods. This in itself suggests the involvement of many gods included in the name if nothing else. With so many Egyptian gods being introduced just before Thor’s cinematic return, Marvel could quite easily incorporate something moon knight in the movie.
Fans have waited a long time to see the first images of Thor: Love and Thunder, and after the trailer dropped, many weren’t quite sure what to make of the movie. Of course, Marvel has two months to teaser the film, which comes on the heels of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which arrives in theaters next week. Recall that the first full trailer of the strange doctor the sequel originally arrived with Spider-Man: No Coming Home, and there’s every chance the same will happen with the upcoming Thor preview.
