Deadpool 3 Writer Shares First Plot Details For MCU Sequel

Anytime Dead Pool 3 launches, it will become the first MCU movie to earn an R rating. That’s a promise Disney made after buying Fox, and it looks like Marvel will keep the R-rated tone in place for the movie. Also interesting is that Dead Pool 3 will become the first MCU franchise to start outside of the MCU, assuming the plot continues the story of previous films. At least with Spider ManMarvel and Sony have rebooted the story for the MCU.

That said, we have no idea how Marvel will integrate Dead Pool 3 in the MCU. However, one of Dead Pool 3 the writers recently teased the film’s plot. Some spoilers follow.

The multiverse is complicated

What we do know at this point is that the multiverse exists in the larger storyline, so it’s easy to move characters from one universe to another. We have seen it happen in Loki, Spider-Man: No Coming Home, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Well, “easy” might be a bit of a stretch, since the multiverse tends to get messy.

Multiverse of Madness would have actually been a great place to insert Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) into the MCU. And the rumors said that the Doctor Strange 2 the plot included a Deadpool cameo. But that rumor turned out to be inaccurate.

The strange doctor The sequel also taught us that messing with the multiverse has massive consequences that Marvel will explore in future films. And that’s what makes Dead Pool 3 so interesting, because he will have to give us a reasonable explanation to bring Deadpool to the main reality of the MCU.

The Dead Pool 3 plot

Marvel has yet to reveal Dead Pool 3, although Kevin Feige recently hinted that a major MCU announcement will follow soon. Whatever Marvel reveals should help fans understand where the current saga is headed.

Until that happens, we have very few details about the sequel, let alone the Dead Pool 3 ground. It is known that Reynolds will reprise his roles as Wade Wilson and that Shawn Levy will direct. Additionally, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will return to write the new script after writing the previous installments. And Leslie Uggams will also return to play Blind Al.

This brings us to Reese’s first true Dead Pool 3 plot teaser so far. The writer said the film will tell a “fish out of water” story, where Deadpool will play the “fish”.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for fish out of water,” reese said. “Deadpool is a madman at the center of a movie. Dropping a madman into a very sane world is pure butter. It’s going to be really fun.

Fish or no fish, we certainly expect Dead Pool 3 be really fun. And Marvel is probably aware of the immense pressure to deliver another big dead Pool. Hopefully, the plot will also remain under wraps until the movie’s release date, save for those cast and crew teasers.

It’s now up to Kevin Feige and co. advertise real Dead Pool 3 details, like the full cast and release date.
