Brandon Sanderson, writer of The Wheel of Time, was jealous when George RR Martin got to work on Elden Ring

The veteran author is already associated with a bunch of new shows, including the Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon. Martin also made his mark in the gaming industry with the critically acclaimed video game Ring of Elden, which has created a real craze on the Internet and is currently one of the most played game titles on various platforms. However, Brandon Sandersonthe writer who finished The wheel of time novels after the death of the original author Robert Jordanis pretty salty about Martin getting the job for him.

Sanderson jokingly states that he is annoyed because Martin doesn’t even like video games, despite being an avid gamer. In a recent episode of Intentionally empty podcasting, he says, “Let me be salty, FromSoftware decides to make a fantasy game and partner with a fantasy novelist, and they choose someone who spends their days blogging about the NFL over the person who has been playing their games since King’s Field and listed their games as among its top 10 consistently over time.
