Assessment Writer Job with RMIT UNIVERSITY

  • Full-time, fixed-term position until December 2022
  • HEW salary level 7 + 17% superannuation and flexible working arrangements
  • Based on the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based on other University campuses

About you

As an Evaluation Writer, you will play a critical role in designing innovative evaluations for internally and externally funded projects. You will be responsible for developing a suite of simplified and customizable assessments in collaboration with industry partners and following RMIT policies, procedures and practices.

Work closely with the project team, College of Vocational Education industry clusters and industry partners to ensure stakeholder needs are met.

In addition, you will coordinate the development of assessments according to the needs of the client. In addition, he will play a critical role in ensuring that the development of assessments is relevant to current industry practices, training modules, compliance requirements and quality criteria and; developed within the required timeframe and scope of the project.

To be successful in this position, you will have at a minimum:

  • Experience in developing VET assessments and developing innovative, industry-focused and compliant assessment tools.
  • Working knowledge of valuation principles and rules of evidence.
  • Ability to incorporate current practices and trends in digital technologies and progressive instructional practices into assessment development.
  • Ability to work within a team to achieve project results.
  • High-level interpersonal and professional communication skills to work effectively with individuals and teams of staff with varying levels of technical knowledge and VET.
  • Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary team environments.
  • Ability to assess priorities, exercise discretionary judgment and negotiate positive outcomes.
